urbanMITS — The Urban Mobility and Intelligent Transportation Systems (urbanMITS) Laboratory, headed by Professor Kaan Ozbay, is a multi-modal transportation infrastructure research and education facility combining a series of new concepts, technologies and services to integrate information, vehicles and transportation infrastructure to increase mobility, safety and comfort, and reduce energy waste and pollution.

BUILT @ NYU — The Behavioral Urban Informatics, Logistics, and Transport Laboratory is headed by Professor Joseph Chow. The focus of this lab is in transportation systems research, education, and technology transfer. A particular emphasis is placed on sustainable urban logistics, the role of traveler and firm behavior in informing system operations and management, and multimodal network design in a megaregion context.
