The Transportation Research Board’s Committee on Railroad Operational Safety invites young researchers to present their research on railroad operational safety at the 96th Annual Transportation Research Board (TRB) meeting in January 2017 in Washington, D.C. Conference registration and travel reimbursement up to $2,000 will be provided for one young researcher whose research paper is judged of exceptional quality. A young researcher is defined as someone who is 35 or younger at the time of the conference in January of 2017.
The Committee on Railroad Operational Safety is interested in research papers focusing on railroad operational safety, human performance, and human factors. Abstracts must be submitted by August 1st, 2016 to the TRB Committee on Railroad Operational Safety via email to firstname.lastname@example.org. The committee will review the abstracts and request full papers for a group of selected abstracts. Full papers must be submitted by August 1st, 2016 electronically on the TRB website at:http://www.trb.org/AnnualMeeting/AnnualMeeting.aspx.
